Built for the work, not the dashboard

Six things Lifter does that your current setup probably doesn't.

The weight you should be lifting

Targets generated from your actual history, not a generic strength curve. They respect your cycles, your deloads, your week off.

The "why" with every set

Every recommendation comes with a one-line reason: push weight, build reps, hold for form. No magic, no chat interface — just the call.

Plateau-aware

Knows the difference between a real plateau and a productive rep-building phase. Adjusts targets so you stop, push, or hold accordingly.

One tap per set

Log weight and reps without leaving the screen. No menus, no plus-minus pickers, no friction. Designed to disappear at the rack.

A coach that reads your data

Weekly review tells you which lifts are climbing, which need a deload, and what to push next. No fluff, no generic motivation.

Your routine, your exercises

Bring your own templates. Add custom exercises. Recommendations adapt to whatever you actually train — the app fits you, not the other way around.

How it works

Three steps. The app does the planning so you don't.

  1. 1

    Log a session

One tap per set. Weight, reps, rest. That's it.

  2. 2

    Get next session's targets

Open the app next time. Your weight, your reps, and the reasoning are already laid out for every exercise.

  3. 3

    Show up and lift

No more thinking at the rack. The weekly coach review tracks the long game so you keep climbing.

One plan. Free for 30 days.

Built for lifters who want the app to do the planning. No ads, no upsells, no data resold.

Frequently asked

What happens when the 30-day trial ends?

Apple charges $6.99 CAD a month. You'll get an email from Apple 24 hours before the first charge so there's no surprise. You can cancel any time during the trial and won't be charged.

How is this different from Strong, Hevy, or other workout apps?

Most workout apps are loggers — you write down what you did. Lifter is a coach — it tells you what to do next, with the reasoning. If you already know exactly what weight to hit every session, you don't need this. If you spend mental energy at the rack figuring it out, you do.

Does it work with my existing routine?

Yes. Recreate your splits as templates and bring any exercises you train. Recommendations build from your actual history — the more you log, the sharper they get.

How does it know what weight to suggest?

It reads your history — sets, reps, rest, recent progression — and applies progressive overload logic to recommend the next call. Each recommendation comes with a one-line reason so you can see the logic, not just the number.

What about exercises it doesn't have?

Add any exercise yourself. Recommendations adapt as you build history.

Will it work for beginners?

If you know how to squat, bench, row, and deadlift, yes. Lifter assumes you already know the moves — it doesn't teach form. If you're brand new to lifting, learn the basics first, then come back.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Your data is yours. Export from settings any time.

Is my data private?

Yes. We don't sell it, and AI providers we use are contractually prohibited from training models on your data. Full details in our privacy policy .

What if I want a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Lifter → Report a Problem. We approve all eligible requests.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. iOS only at launch. If demand grows, Android follows.

What devices does it support?

iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later. iPad works but isn't optimized for tablet layouts yet.

How do I cancel?

iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Lifter → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you cancel during the free trial, access ends immediately and you're not charged.
